I was really amazed when my friend asked me to bring my Onkyo HT s5300 over to his apartment to try out. My friend is a pretty huge audiophile and has pretty discriminating taste. He tends to stay away from mainstream home theater products as he thinks the sound quality just isn’t there. However, he had read a lot of great reviews about my Onkyo surround sound system and was really curious to hear how it sounded. He has turned his apartment into the perfect listening room. He has sound dampeners on the wall and on the floor. He actually put a lot of money into his apartment so that it will be conducive to watching movies and listening to music. I think he told me he spent around $3000 enhancing his apartment. So I am looking forward to hearing how my Onkyo home theater system sounds in his apartment compared to my living room.
