Point of sale refers to the software that determines where a particular transaction is made. It has the same functions as a cash register because the software would be able to identify where a certain item was bought through the point locator in the device. Aside from this, a point of sale software also functions in printing a receipt for every purchase made in the store that uses it. This allows the people to be able to keep track of all the transactions made in the store at a certain period of time. The point of sale system can usually be found in the area of the cashier and only a few people can be able to access the software because it is protected by a code. This is very important for the owners of the store because it allows them to easily monitor the sales they have made during the whole day.
